It is our belief the breakdown of the family is part of the root cause of poverty, crime and other disparaging issues seen in Memphis and Shelby County today.  Families Matter is intentional in supporting men, women, teenagers and boys in understanding their importance in the family structure.  The idea of the family structure appear to be eroding as some of our youth seem to have little to no positive direction.  Our work within Shelby County Schools, churches and with other organizations where we educate, mentor and assist children, youth and their parents, plays a major role in the lives of our families.

 

Our educational programs are designed to support the individual while working intentionally within the family to help create dreams and goals that can be achieved.  We have found that building, maintaining and restoring relationships does not have an age limit.  Many parents struggle with maintaining right relationships creating similar problems for their children.  Our goal is to help families thrive in order to support Memphis in becoming a great place to live and build a family.
