March Message from Carol Jackson, Executive Director
Posted March 22, 2024
Hello Friends,
Can you believe it? Daylight Savings Time has arrived, a significant event that ushers in longer, more vibrant days. It’s a time when we can all marvel at the daffodils and other spring flowers that seem to appear in the most unexpected places. Have you noticed how our days are stretching and the nights are retreating? It’s the magic of March, when this phenomenon graces us, marking the transition into a new season. I’m always careful to ‘spring forward’ and set my clocks one hour ahead, ensuring I don’t find myself an hour behind in this change of time.
March is not just about the changing weather; it’s also a time to celebrate women. March 8th was International Women’s Day, a meaningful observance for all. It’s a time when husbands, significant others, friends, organizations, and churches come together to honor the women who bring home the bacon, raise the children, and continue to grace our lives.
Spring cold snaps, roaring winds, and thunderstorms bring warm weather one day and rain and stormy weather the next, creating a dynamic atmosphere. However, with the March weather comes beautiful foliage and flowers that make the statement, “Spring is in the air.” March is a month of wonder and amazement, with its unpredictability. In short, it is a time of true transition.
As women are celebrated, the weather is constantly changing, flowers are blooming, and tree leaves begin to emerge. We welcome you, March, and the warmth and abundance you usher in.
Speaking of abundance and joy, we will celebrate Resurrection Sunday on Sunday, March 31st. We hope that you and your family will enjoy the blessings our risen Savior provided for us. Happy Easter!
Because of HIS sacrifice, I am,
Carol Jackson
Executive Director
