Giving Tuesday is November 30th — Consider Giving to Families Matter
Posted November 11, 2021
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving, kicks off the charitable season when many focus on their holiday and end of the year giving. #GivingTuesday was created to unite us all in a day of generosity to make a difference in the world at the start of this busy holiday season. On this universal day of giving, November 30, 2021, we are asking for your support to help us educate and train boys and young men, by teaching the 12 Principles of Manhood in our schools. In many cases these boys and young men come to school eager to learn, but often find themselves unable to understand ways to create and build healthy relationship skills due to negative situations they often face at home. For many, the only positive male influence they have are the Families Matter’s instructors who train and mentor them weekly.
When boys and young men are trained and mentored by positive male role models they learn to respect themselves and develop self-esteem. They become aware of what they are able to accomplish through the encouragement of the men they respect. During this season of giving, please consider supporting Families Matter as we provide positive learning experiences for these boys and young men. Your gift of any size during #GivingTuesday will help and be greatly appreciated. Your gift will support our healthy relationship educational efforts in schools where we are building positive self-awareness and creating dreamers, visionaries, and doers who will become assets to society in the near future. A wise man said “It is better to build boys than repair men.”
