Families Matter AFIRM in the Community

Posted May 19, 2023

In an effort to share Families Matter AFIRM within our communities, we seek opportunities where there are readily available audiences of potential opportunities. Mike Arnold, Families Matter Fatherhood Educator is seen speaking about the AFIRM PROGRAM at Pursuit of God Church on Sunday, April 27, 2023. He is then congratulated by Pastor Ricky Floyd for the work provided within the Frayser Community. Mike was later joined by Antuan Garrett, Employment Education Specialist for the AFIRM Program. If you know of a Father who could benefit from Families Matter AFIRM, contact Kheli Pearson at 901.260.8521 or kheli@fmmemphis.org.

Pictured here are over 60 proud Fathers at the Daddy – Daughter dance held at Vision Preparatory School where Dr. Labuan Gray-Sylvester is Principal. AFIRM associate Bobby Griggs offered information to assist fathers in strengthening their relationships with their child(ren) and the mom. The Daddy – Daughter dance was the perfect time to strengthen relationships with daughters. Families Matter appreciates and recognizes fathers who take more active involvement in the lives of their children. At the end of the day, we want to see men have lasting relationships with their sons and daughters. Then means they must be intentional about spending time with them. Thank you Vision Prep for having AFIRM to share how A Father’s Involvement Really Matters. #GirlDad

Verse of the Day

As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.
