Families Matter in the Community
Posted April 26, 2025
| Families Matter, with support from our many community partners, participated in several community events throughout the month of April to spread the word about our programming and provide essential resources to fathers, students, and families. |
| On April 8th, Families Matter‘s AFIRM program organized a Community Resource Fair hosted at Jubilee Church of God. During the event, Shelby County fathers received job opportunities, essential resources, and valuable connections. |
| In addition, Families Matter proudly joined the 2nd Annual Community Commitment Collaboration (CCC) event at Gordon Achievement Academy. This powerful event brought together community partners dedicated to connecting students and families with the vital resources and support systems available right here in Memphis. As a committed partner, Families Matter shared essential services and hosted conversations on the importance of family stability, fatherhood engagement and healthy relationships — all part of our mission to strengthen families and transform lives. We are honored to stand alongside schools and organizations working to build a stronger, more connected community. Together, we are making an impact! |
| Families Matter was also a vendor at Agape Child & Family Services‘ Agape Fest 2025. We were honored to support Agape’s mission of strengthening and uniting families, which aligns deeply with our work at Families Matter AFIRM. Partnerships like this are vital as we continue to empower, uplift and provide essential resources to the communities we serve. |
