As we welcome 2022 – we give thanks to God and to our supporters for our 2021 accomplishments.
Wonderful Occasions of Wonders (WOW) – what a year it was! Because of you, the following are a few of our 2021 accomplishments:
  • We received the cityCurrent Charity Spotlight honor in recognition of our work with families.
  • We published an article in the Daily Memphian in honor of fathers in June.
  • We aligned with a National organization promoting health screenings and education for men.
  • We joined forces and assisted a national organization educating and mentoring 120 parents in their system.
  • Pastor Ivory Jackson, Families Matter’s Pastor Liaison, received the WMC Action News 5 Mid-South Hero honor for the month of September.
  • We supported churches and health centers in training and mentoring their interns in understanding the work of non-profit organizations in underserved communities.
  • We collaborated with and trained several pastors and their congregants in learning how to educate and mentor students in the 12 Principles of Manhood curricula.
  • 36 new and expectant fathers were trained in how to be a Dynamic Dad through our hospital program.
  • We graduated 30 men from the Nurturing Father/Parents class sessions.
  • Through our Connections Program, over 250 students received instruction and guidance.
The absolute best accomplishments are the times when we united forces with our partners and worked together supporting fathers and mothers encouraging a positive living environment for children inspiring a healthy Memphis collectively. We teamed up during the following:
  • A Domestic Violence Conference
  • The Becoming One Conferences
  • The AAA Walk for Black Men and their Health

Truly we are better together. To God be the Glory for the Things He has done.
